East Melbourne Loft
Bachelor Pad Apartment
Situated within the historic Old Victoria Brewery apartments, we had the pleasure of transforming a loft apartment into a warm and stylish retreat, perfectly suited to the vibrant lifestyle of a young bachelor. With the building’s striking concrete ceilings setting the tone, we leaned into an industrial aesthetic that embraces the space’s unique character.
Vintage leather sofas, an outdoor rug, and a coated steel coffee table were thoughtfully chosen to bring in a mix of timeless charm and practicality. To add a playful yet personal touch, the walls feature framed artwork showcasing vintage pinball posters and album covers—little moments of nostalgia that make the space truly feel like home.
Sleek black joinery keeps things understated yet elegant, while the textured black porcelain benchtop and splashback add richness and a tactile quality. These elements bring a seamless balance of function and style to the kitchen, making it a joy to use every day. A terrazzo-topped bench becomes the hero of the kitchen, serving as both a workspace and a casual dining spot with stools that invite lingering chats over coffee or dinner. It’s a versatile centerpiece that ties the space together beautifully.
This apartment now tells a story of industrial charm meeting tailored comfort, creating a home that’s as inviting as it is effortlessly cool.
